It's times like these I'm glad I don't have Brink-and-Mortar Shop

Well it's been 5 days since I've had a sale in my Etsy shop. I looked back at my stats and found I haven't went that long with out a sale Since May of last year...  I've tried analyzing the reasons why the lack of sales, I've Phoned a friend, Phoned Home mostly to wine and have someone tell me it will be OK.  I've even thought about Group Therapy or even going on a Vacation to get away.

I've searched for inspiration, tried smudging (burning white sage), Searched Etsy for answers, Read more about Google and SEO.

The only thing different that I have done is change the name of my Etsy Shop in the past 30 days.  I am under the impression that Etsy would direct traffic to my shop for 45 days if anyone used the direct link so That doesn't explain the lack of sales either, and anyway my views haven't went down just the sales. 


So I've decided to do the only thing I can do..... Light some incense, do some Positive affirmations and start my Spring Cleaning......  and remember what my mother always said  "a watched pot never boils".

So it's times like these I'm Thankful I don't have a Brick-&-Mortar shop........

Name Change in the making:

Since Etsy now gives shop owners 1 chance to change the name of their Etsy shop, I have made a decision to Change my Name from This That & Other Things (thisthatotherthings)  to Nimble's Nook (nimblesnook) http://www.etsy.com/shop/NimblesNook?ref=si_shop&view_type=gallery. 

Nimble is a little character that comes along on all my Thrifting adventures and gives me gentle nudges and whispers on where to look for the hidden treasures and suggestions on what to purchase for the Nook. 

She is my alter ego, the fun loving fairy that flutters about sharing her tremendous knowledge of vintage Treasures with me. She has a terrible sense of direction and doesn't seem to be organized at times but I can always expect to have a Great time with Nimble as we search for Vintage Treasures together.

Please stay tuned for more adventures from Nimble. 

So Expect changes over the next few weeks. There is much to do from Changing my Etsy shop name, to creating a banner, avatar, business cards, Changing Stumble, twitter, pinterest and FB names. Not to mention my .com and blog.

Nimble and I are going to be very busy but will keep you all informed as we go.

Just a Little Something

 Hi Everyone:

I'm having a hard time believing that January is over in a few short days.  I didn't even get my January Giveaway off the ground. Oh well, I will come up with some Awesome Giveaway for February I promise.  For those of you that don't know I went back to work full time at a Desk Job in July, it's been 6 months.  Working full time and running my Etsy Shop takes up a lot of my time, leaving very little for family and friends.
